The eaves are one of those parts of a house that most people have heard of, but not everyone could point to confidently.

They sit around the lowest edge of a pitched roof, where the roof meets or extends beyond the outside walls of the building.

Inside the loft, that same area is often where the roof becomes tightest, the insulation gets hardest to reach and ventilation routes may need to be maintained.
